Hello Guys!

Today I have a recipe post for you. This salad is delicious and full of beautifying ingredients. I love salads but also have a major sweet tooth! So to solve that problem I always add a bit of sweet to my salads. This salad is definitely on the sweet side. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Beauty salad:

-1/2 Chopped Grapefruit
-1/2-1c Chopped Pineapple
-2-4c Chopped Kale
-1/8-1/4c Cranberries
-Tsp. Olive Oil
 Massage the olive oil into the kale. Then add the pineapple, cranberries and grapefruit. This salad is super delicious. A little on the sweet side but a touch of savory from the kale and olive oil.

*Grapefruit: Grapefruit is one of the most famous foods for weight loss and maintenance.  This is due to its association with improved insulin resistance and low sugar, high fiber content. Grapefruit is full of vitamin A and C.  The vitamin C in grapefruit makes it great for the skin. Grapefruit is associated with the prevention of a multitude of illnesses.  *Pineapple: Pineapples are also great with a multitude of illnesses such as asthma and diabetes. It also contains more than your daily needs of vitamin C and a powerful enzyme bromelian.  *Kale: Kale is considered one of the worlds healthiest foods. It is full of fiber, alpha-lipoic acid, potassium, vitamin C and B6. The antioxidant in kale, alpha-lipoic, is shown to help lower glucose, increase insulin sensitivity and prevent oxidative stress in patients with diabetes. Kale has lots of vitamin C which is great for bone health and preventing osteoporosis. Lastly, kale is full of vitamin C and beta-carotene which is great for hair, skin and nails.  *Cranberries: Cranberries, in their natural form, are a great low sugar fruit.  Cranberries are often considered a “superfood” because of their high nutrient and antioxidant levels. All that comes at only 25 calories per half cup. Cranberries are associated with a lower risk of urinary tract infections, prevention of certain types of cancer and improved immune fuction.  *Olive Oil: Olive oil has long been considered a great health food often associated with the Mediterranean Diet.
